Ogni rivalità ha una storia da approfondire e magari da guardare su Youtube e da ascoltare forse in qualche podcast.

La rivalità tra Southamtpon e Portsmouth sembra derivare dalla vicinanza, ma anche da una controversia tra i rispettivi lavoratori del porto a inizio Novecento e anche da una controversia medievale tra i due rispettivi porti con Southampton che dominava e non voleva rogne dal più piccolo  e “in crescita” vicino porto rivale.
